Frequently asked questions

Q1: Do symposium organizers and symposiasts need to be BSJ members?
A1: Symposium organizers need to be BSJ members. Symposiasts need not. If a symposiast who is not making a regular talk is a non-member, the registration fee is free, but registration is required.

Q2: Can one person be an organizer or symposiast for more than one symposium?
A2: No. Each participant is limited to one registration (as an organizer or symposiast) for the symposium. However, in addition to the symposium, BSJ member can make one regular talk (either oral or poster).

Q3: Do symposium organizers need to register as presenters?
A3: No. If you are not presenting at a symposium which you are organizing and are not submitting a regular presentation (either oral or poster), please register as "No presentation". However, symposium organizers can also register as presenters within the same symposium. (Note that participation for the symposium general discussion is not considered as presentation.)

Q4: Can I correct my presentation titles or affiliation?
A4: We apologize that we are not able to make any changes, since our staff is working on the conference program in parallel with various documents and search programs. Instead, we can post corrections on this website. Those who wish to make corrections should submit them in Japanese and English to bsj87@ml.hines.hokudai.ac.jp. Please format them as follows:
