高山帯と亜高山帯の植物群集:環境変動に対する植物の成長、繁殖、群集形成プロセスの重要性

自然の植物群集は、温暖化や増加する人間活動などの環境変化にさらされています。寒冷な気象条件の高山帯や亜高山帯の生態系は環境変化に敏感であると考えられています。このバーチャルイシューでは、過去JPRに出版された論文から、高山帯と亜高山帯での植物群集に関して、以下の7分野の研究を紹介します。(1) 種多様性,植生とバイオマス、(2) 群集形成、(3) 高山植物の成長と気象条件、(4) 高山植物の繁殖、(5) 共存する植物種間での成長特性の違い、(6) 人間活動とシカの食害による植生変化、(7) エコタイプ間での気象条件と関係した成長特性の違い。このバーチャルイシューで紹介する13の研究論文は、高山帯と亜高山帯の植物群集への環境変化の影響に関する将来の研究に対して、有益な情報をもたらすと期待されます。
